Welcome to the newly energized Shields GOP. I want to personally welcome you to the party and encourage you to get involved. I am the Chairman of Shields Township, which includes all or most of Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Knollwood, and a small portion of North Chicago. The organization is made up of 17 precinct committeemen; the committeemen and women are the backbone of our Shields Republican Party.
I want everyone to understand that our organization exists for the betterment of everyone in our community. We want a more prosperous, civically engaged, safer, and happier community. While we recruit and support candidates to serve as conservative Republicans, we are open to working with and including anyone to move our communities forward. You do not have to serve as a precinct committeeman to be involved with our organization.
I am very excited about the future of our local party. There is a lot of energy, and we are working with a local consultancy company to help us grow and maximize our impact. Our first monthly newsletter is out first. The newsletter includes articles from several community members in the spirit of inclusion. We keep an eye on Springfield and Washington and highlight the incredibly successful 61st Lake County Republican Federation Spring Gala keynoted by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy. Speaker McCarthy proved that we can indeed work together!
We will be active all over the community this summer and hope you stop by to say hi if you see us around. Please also do not hesitate to reply to this email if you’d like to learn more about our organization or would like to learn more about running for office. Everyone in our township has a talent! We would love you to bring your talents forward and help build out a strong local party and community.
